A volunteer describes her experiences walking and helping shelter dogs at a no kill animal shelter in a small, semi-rural Idaho college town.(Ongoing diary based on a memoir I wrote of the same title that I'm attempting to publish) Copyright 2009 All rights reserved
Happy holidays to you and yours. I really enjoyed this music video, I have never heard of Gillian Welch before...what a great song.
ReplyDeleteA big thanks to you as well for all that you do to help our little animal friends have a better life.
Thanks for your kind words Mr. H, Gillian Welch is one of my favorite musicians. When I first heard her music I thought she was singing old folk tunes, but I later found out that she actually writes many of her "old timey" sounding songs.
ReplyDeleteYou have inspired us, we go in Wednesday night for orientation to volunteer at our local humane society.:)
ReplyDeleteThat's nice of you guys to volunteer, I'm sure the dogs will enjoy it, plus it's good exercise for us humans. My motto is to always have fun while exercising. If you are going to take your dog with you I would think about the kennel cough vaccine for him, since he may be exposed to a lot of dogs.Best Wishes in all your dog helping endeavors
